Holiday Villa Rentals in and around Mougins
Pablo Picasso put Mougins on the map when he lived and painted here in the 1960s. Since then, this pretty hilltop village has become famous for its gastronomy, culminating in the world famous gourmet food festival which takes place every August. There are dozens of restaurants, ranging from the Michelin-starred Moulin de Mougins and the elegant Mas Candille, to wonderful Provencal fare at Le Feu Follet. Just 5 kms north of Cannes, Mougins is a compact village, an ever decreasing caracole of small cobbled streets winding up the hill to the church at the top. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere to Mougins, helped by being largely a pedestrian precinct where families and friends of all generations stroll to take the evening air. And when you get to the top, the views are stunning. On a clear day you can see all the way across the Mediterranean to Corsica and West beyond Monaco to the mountains of Italy.
